New Single-Family Residence — Las Flores Mesa Drive, City of Malibu
One of Santos Planning’s current residential projects is a Coastal Development Permit application for a new 7,410 sq.ft. two-story single-family residence with a 965 sq.ft. subterranean garage, located on Las Flores Mesa Drive in the City of Malibu. The project consists of 3,520 cy grading, a variance for retaining walls over 6 ft. in height, a private septic system, and 21 soldier piles to stabilize the site from landslide hazard.
Minor Land Division, Condominium Conversion — Coastline Drive, Malibu, Unincorporated Los Angeles County
Located on Coastline Drive in the Malibu area of Unincorporated Los Angeles County, this project consisted of permitting the conversion and remodel of a 4,030 sq.ft. single-family residence into two condominium units. Santos Planning was retained to manage the Coastal Development Permit and Minor Land Division application processes, including working with staff to resolve issues with required parking, designing new exterior Fire Dept. access stairs, and facilitating a reciprocal access agreement with neighboring property.
Single-Family Residence Remodel — Gayton Place, City of Malibu
The property owner of this existing 4,600 sq.ft. single-family residence on Gayton Place in the City of Malibu hired Santos Planning to permit a complete remodel of the residence. In addition, the approved Coastal Development Permit consisted of a new 1,350 sq.ft. patio and deck, pool, and 6,000 sq.ft. geoflow septic system.
